Syracuse police have in custody a man they accuse of breaking into another man's home on Schiller Avenue and assaulting him.
Officers say Wayne Abrams told them he awoke from sleeping to find a man later identified as Daniel Ligoci of Syracuse at the foot of his bed. They physically struggled before Abrams was injured in the hand and Ligoci fled. Police were able to secure Ligoci's address and went there to arrest him. Ligoci was charged with first degree burglary and third degree assault. Police learned Abrams and Ligoci knew each other prior to the break-in, and Ligoci went to Abram's residence looking for him.
