Syracuse Pedestrian Struck By Car
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department responded to the intersection of James St. at N. Salina St. at about 11:30 PM last night after 911 received a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a car at that location.
Police arrived on the scene and located a male pedestrian who appeared to be in his late 30’s, and the male had sustained a head injury after being struck by a car. The preliminary investigation revealed the male pedestrian was crossing James St. when he was struck by a Subaru Impreza that was headed westbound on James St. near the N. Salina St. intersection.
The male pedestrian was transported to Upstate Hospital and is listed in serious condition. The 22 year old male driver of the Subaru Impreza was not injured during the incident. No tickets have been issued at this time and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The name of the pedestrian is not being released at this time.
