Classmates of a homicide victim are raising money to help his family pay for funeral expenses and to build a memorial for him at Nottingham High School.
33-year-old Corey Hill was killed after escorting a co-worker home June 23. George Alfred Jr. has been charged with Hill's murder. A fundraising page established by Hill's Nottingham classmates has raised just over $2,000 from about 50 donors so far. In addition to raising money for his family, organizers hope to purchase a tree and plaque to be placed at the school in Hill's memory. You can learn more about the fundraising efforts on the website created by Hill's classmates.
